Job summary

The ideal candidate has 3+ years of spray finishing experience in scenic fabrication, strong prep and color-matching skills, and the ability to work safely in a fast-paced workshop.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in spray finishing for scenic fabrication or related field.
• Experience applying paints, stains, clear coats, and metallics.
• Proficient in surface prep, sanding, priming, masking.
• Knowledge of color matching and tinting per design specs.
• Experience with large-scale scenic pieces or event fabrication.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work at heights.
• Strong time-management in deadline-driven workshop.
• Safely operate ventilation, PPE, and finishing materials.
• Excellent attention to detail and craftsmanship.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the Scenic Charge to meet project deadlines.
• Quality control to ensure durability and consistency of finishes.
• Troubleshoot spray equipment for optimal performance.
• Maintain a clean, safe finishing area and booth.
• Follow safety protocols for ventilation and hazardous materials.
• Assist with touch-ups and maintenance of finished projects.
