Job summary

Object Construction in Los Angeles, CA is seeking a skilled Metal Fabricator to join our team of fabricators. You will cut, fit, and assemble metal components for custom scenic elements, including stairs, railings, columns, and other fabricated parts, ensuring precision and adherence to drawings.

The ideal candidate has strong MIG and TIG welding skills, experience reading blueprints, and a proven track record in fabrication or manufacturing.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; welding certification is a plus.
• Experience with MIG, TIG and arc welding and ability to read blueprints.
• Experience in scenic fabrication, construction, or manufacturing is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate and assemble metal parts according to blueprints and drawings to meet project specifications.
• Cut, fit and measure components using a variety of cutting tools to achieve precise results.
• Weld components securely, check welds for strength and quality, and ensure safety standards are met.
• Maintain tools and equipment, perform routine maintenance and keep a clean, organized workspace.
• Collaborate with project teams to ensure timely completion and adherence to specifications.
