Job summary

SeaWorld Parks & Entertainment seeks enthusiastic Ambassadors for a seasonal role at SeaWorld Orlando. You’ll help fabricate, install, maintain décor and props, and assist with festive elements like garlands and trees. You’ll also handle inventory and keep work areas tidy.

Requires a high school diploma or equivalent, ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for long periods, and work at heights in indoor/outdoor settings. Valid driver’s license and flexible schedule are needed.

Responsibilities

• Assist with fabrication, installation/strike and maintenance of props, set pieces, and décor.
• Assist with décor elements such as garland, Christmas trees, wreaths, lights and ornaments.
• Assist with material inventory and keep work areas clean.
• Communicate professionally with Ambassadors, Vendors and Guests.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

What you get to do:

• Assist with the fabrication, installation/strike and maintenance/repair of props, set pieces and décor.
• Assist with décor elements such as garland, Christmas trees and wreaths to include testing the lights and attaching décor elements such as ornaments, ribbon, sprays, etc.
• Assist with material inventory process.
• Maintain cleanliness of work areas and vehicles.
• Communicate professionally and effectively with Ambassadors, Vendors and our Guests.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

What it takes to succeed:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to follow a pattern and replicate a décor template.
• Ability to work well in a team.
• Ability to stand for prolong periods and work with hands for extended periods of time.
• Must be comfortable working at heights, ladder work to decorate different scenery pieces such as tall Christmas trees.
• Possess a valid state driver’s license required.

What else is important:

• Must be able to lift, push, pull and/or carry up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to climb a ladder and work at heights between 6 and 65 feet.
• Comfortability working in theater and outdoor environments (dark/nighttime conditions, in/around water, in varying weather conditions).
• Comfortable working around animals.
• Comfortability with exposure to noise and vibrations.
• Ability to train on and properly use protective gear.
• Ability to stand, bend or kneel for long periods of time.
• Ability to bend, reach, twist and turn with complete flexibility.
• Position engages in extensive walking and standing throughout entire work shift and climb/ascend heights, if needed.
• Perform the following physical activities: kneeling, squatting, bend floor-to waist/waist-to-overhead, reach overhead, simple grasp and fine hand manipulation tasks (use of tools/keyboard/writing).
• Must be able to work indoors and outdoors, in varying weather, to include extreme heat.
• Position may be exposed to fumes, dust, odors, and cold/heat temperature extremes.
• Perform cleaning duties, including use of cleaning chemicals.
• Work a flexible schedule/hour based on business need, to include opening, mid-, and closing shifts; nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Must be flexible in work locations as placement will depend on business needs and career development opportunities.
