City of Pittsburgh is seeking a SCBA Equipment Technician to inspect, repair, test and recertify all SCBA and related equipment within multiple bureaus. The role requires ensuring accurate maintenance records and coordinating with manufacturers and vendors to keep systems functioning properly.
Applicants must have at least one year of full-time repair experience; education is flexible and substitutions are allowed. A PA Driver's License is required prior to appointment.
Inspects, repairs, maintains, tests and recertifies all Self-Contained Breathing Apparatus (SCBA) and other related SCBA equipment.
You must submit or show proof of all the following at the time of application (unless otherwise indicated below), or your application will be disqualified. Disqualifications based on any of these General Application Requirements are not subject to a Civil Service appeal.
NOTE: Candidate must obtain the SCBA C.A.R.E. certification, as defined by MSA, within three months of date of hire or promotion and maintain certification throughout employment.
