Job summary

SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University in Brooklyn, NY invites applications for an hourly/part-time Adjunct Scan Lab Instructor in the Diagnostic Medical Imaging Program. The instructor will teach ultrasound techniques, maintain the lab and equipment, and ensure infection control, while aligning with AIUM and CAAHEP standards.

OSCEs will be administered and scored on campus. The role requires an Associate's Degree, 2+ years of sonography experience, and an active RDMS and/or RDCS

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree required.
• 2+ years of sonography experience.
• Active RDMS and/or RDCS certification.
• Clinical experience.
• Excellent oral communication with students and faculty.

Responsibilities

• Instruct students and provide feedback on ultrasound scanning techniques.

Job Description

The Diagnostic Medical Imaging Program in the School of Health Professions at SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University is seeking an hourly/part-time Adjunct Instructor / Scan Lab Instructor. The successful candidate will:

• Instruct students and provide feedback on ultrasound scanning techniques.
• Ensure students maintain scan lab and equipment and practice proper infection control prevention.
• Comply with AIUM and CAAHEP standards and guidelines.
• Administer and score OSCE's on campus.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

• Associate's Degree.
• 2+ years of sonography experience.
• Active RDMS and/or RDCS certification.
• Clinical experience.
• Ability to effectively and respectfully communicate orally with student and faculty.
