Job summary

SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University is seeking an hourly/part-time Adjunct Instructor / Scan Lab Instructor in the Diagnostic Medical Imaging Program. The successful candidate will instruct students in ultrasound scanning techniques, maintain lab equipment, and ensure infection control across the program.

Preference is given to candidates with a Bachelor's degree and a strong clinical ultrasound background, including RDMS/RDCS certification and prior teaching or academic experience in

Qualifications

• Requires an Associate's degree and 2+ years of sonography experience.
• Active RDMS and/or RDCS certification.
• Clinical experience and strong oral communication.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Instruct students and provide feedback on ultrasound scanning techniques.
• Maintain scan lab and equipment and practice infection control.
• Comply with AIUM and CAAHEP standards and guidelines.
• Administer and score OSCEs on campus.
