Objectives:

We are seeking a GoLang Developer to join our team and play a pivotal role in designing, developing and maintaining backend services and APIs to support our web and mobile applications that meet our business requirements and drive customer satisfaction.

1. Work across products, building highly scalable distributed solutions that enable positive user experiences and measurable business growth.
2. Develop new features and infrastructure in support of rapidly emerging business and project requirements.
3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
4. Show end-to-end ownership in projects, from conceptualization to deployment.
5. Ensure application performance, uptime, and scale, and maintain high standards for code quality and application design.
6. Work with agile development methodologies, adhering to best practices and pursuing continued learning opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Backend Development: Leverage extensive experience to contribute to the development of products by developing scalable and efficient server-side code.
2. End-to-End Project Ownership: Take complete ownership of projects, ensuring the successful delivery of high-quality solutions.
3. Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing, data analysts, and IT, to ensure smooth data flow and integration.
4. Comprehensive Understanding: Possess a solid understanding of web/app frameworks, APIs, databases, and other tools and technologies necessary to ensure quality and scale.
5. Problem Solving: Actively engage in solving complex problems, employing critical thinking and analytical skills to address challenges that arise during the development process.
6. User Experience Enhancement: Contribute to the creation of amazing user experiences for a global user base.
7. Data Management: Designing, optimising and managing databases (both SQL and NoSQL) to ensure data integrity and performance.
8. Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation for easy reference and knowledge sharing.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field.
2. Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot and optimise code.
3. Proficiency in the Go programming language and web services using frameworks like Gin, Echo, Fiber, etc. is a must have.
4. Experience in working on concurrency features like goroutines, channels, etc.
5. Experience with database technologies such as MongoDB, PostgreSQL, or MySQL.
6. Knowledge of RESTful API design principles and microservices-based architectures using GoLang and related technologies (e.g., gRPC, Protobuf).
7. Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS/Azure, etc. and containerization technologies like Docker, Kubernetes and others is a plus.
8. Adept at adapting to new technologies and architectures, with a passion for innovation and staying at the forefront of industry advancements.
9. Excellent communication skills to convey complex technical concepts to team members and stakeholders.
10. Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
