Job summary

West Fraser is seeking a Scale House Operator to manage scalehouse operations, processing logs and residuals efficiently while ensuring safety and accuracy. The role includes ticketing, data entry, and routine computer tasks within a busy industrial environment.

The successful candidate will perform daily arithmetic, work with standard measurement units, and participate in all duties assigned by the supervisor. We value reliability, punctuality, and teamwork in a fast-paced facility.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Ability to work in hot, cold, dusty and noisy industrial environment.
  • Ability to bend, twist, lift, climb and stand for the duration of the shift.
  • Comply with West Fraser safety policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Efficiently process log and residual trucks through scales and ticketing system.
  • Perform basic computer functions (email, Word, Excel) and enter data into database.
  • Perform basic arithmetic and use standard measurements in daily tasks.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Job description

Our Scale House Operator positionwill perform all jobs within the scalehouse,a variety of tasks related to the safe and efficient processing of logs into the Mill.

What you will do:
  • Efficiently process log and residual trucks thru scales and ticketing system
  • Perform basic computer functions,i.e.email, Word, Excel and enter data into database
  • Basic mathematical skills, to include basic arithmetic functions and common units of measurements
  • Performs all other duties as assigned by the supervisor
What you need to be successful:
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Ability to work in hot, cold,dustyand noisy industrial environment
  • Ability to bend, twist, lift, climb, stand throughout the duration of the shift
  • Ability to perform all tasksin accordance withWest Fraser safety policies and procedures
