Job summary

MonoSol in Indiana (La Porte) is seeking a Scale Up Technician. This entry-level role provides hands-on training in equipment operation, safety, and continuous improvement while you work with engineers and production teams to support trial execution and process optimization.

You will learn to operate and monitor equipment, collect data, ensure quality, and maintain a safe work environment. This role offers growth in a fast-paced manufacturing setting with comprehensive safety and training

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Previous manufacturing/production experience preferred.
  • Ability to follow safety procedures and document data accurately.

Responsibilities

  • Operate, monitor, and adjust equipment to support scale-up.
  • Perform inspections, cleaning, preventive maintenance, basic troubleshooting.
  • Collect and verify process and quality data for teams.
  • Inspect finished goods and raw materials for quality compliance.
  • Maintain 5S housekeeping to ensure a safe work area.
  • Follow safety procedures including PPE, LOTO, incident reporting.
  • Assist with process changes and respond to operational issues.
  • Participate in training to build technical capabilities.

Job description

As a Scale Up Technician, you will support research and development and production activities by operating equipment, maintaining safe work practices, collecting process data, and assisting with quality assurance activities. This entry-level role provides hands‑on training in manufacturing processes, equipment operation, safety compliance, and continuous improvement while building foundational technical skills in a fast‑paced operational environment. Working closely with engineers and production teams, you will contribute to trial execution, equipment maintenance, and process optimization efforts while supporting the company's commitment to safety, quality, and operational excellence.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Operate, monitor, and adjust manufacturing equipment to support production and scale‑up activities.
  • Perform equipment inspections, cleaning, preventive maintenance, and basic troubleshooting activities.
  • Collect, record, and verify process and quality data to support operational and engineering teams.
  • Inspect finished goods and raw materials to ensure compliance with quality standards.
  • Maintain housekeeping and 5S standards to support a safe and efficient work environment.
  • Follow all safety procedures, including PPE requirements, lockout/tagout practices, and incident reporting processes.
  • Assist with implementing approved process changes and responding to operational issues within established guidelines.
  • Participate in training and development activities to build technical knowledge and operational capability.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education and Experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Previous manufacturing, production, equipment operation, or industrial experience preferred.
  • Experience working in a safety‑focused environment is preferred.

  • The compensation range that is described below is the possible base pay compensation that the company believes in good faith that it will pay for this role at the time of posting based on job grade for the position.   • In addition to base compensation, MonoSol provides a yearly incentive compensation bonus, a profit sharing bonus when eligible, a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision insurances, short term disability, long term disability, accidental death and dismemberment, term life insurance, voluntary term life insurance, transit flexible spending account (if applicable), employee assistance program, identity theft protection, 401k and paid time off (vacation and sick days).

Hourly Rate - $21.00 per hour

Paid Time Off - 15 days
