Job Description: Scale House Attendant

Department: Solid Waste Department

Organizational Unit: Disposal

Position Type: Permanent

Full Time/Part Time: Full Time

Open Until Filled.

Salary: $17.88 hourly. Actual salary negotiable based on experience and qualifications. Location: Central Area/Cocoa/Central Disposal Facility. Work schedule is variable and includes evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Performs experienced service work in the operation and care of a Scale House at a Solid Waste facility.

Requirements

• Two (2) years of customer service experience, including working with personal computers and Microsoft Office applications.
• High school diploma or GED is preferred. Additional qualifying education and/or experience may be substituted on a year-for-year basis.

Special Requirements

• Bilingual in English and Spanish is preferred.
• In the event of a hurricane, major storm, natural or man-made disaster, employee may be required to perform emergency duties as directed.
