Job summary

Scaling.com is seeking a Chief Financial Officer to build and lead the finance organization as the company grows from about $15 million to $120 million in annual revenue. The role reports to the CEO and is based in Utah, with direct responsibility for cash, reporting, controls, capital access, and strategic finance partnering.

The ideal candidate has 12+ years in finance, 5+ years leading a finance function, and a track record in fast-changing, founder-led or PE-backed environments.

Qualifications

• End-to-end ownership of strategic finance and forecasting.
• Experience scaling a founder-led, privately held, or PE-backed company.
• Building scalable financial processes, controls, and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Own the annual operating plan, rolling forecasts, long-range financial model, and scenario planning.
• Oversee month-end close, accounts payable/receivable, payroll oversight and tax coordination.
• Build durable financial controls and reporting processes not dependent on one person.
• Prepare lender-ready financial packages and evaluate financing alternatives.
• Establish a reliable 13-week cash forecast and medium-term liquidity plan.
