Job summary

Shadow Plastics Inc. in Wisconsin is looking for an assembly worker responsible for assembling both exterior and interior parts, packaging products, and transporting items to appropriate locations.

The position demands physical strength and the ability to work in a team or independently. Ideal candidates will have forklift and material handling experience. The company offers competitive wages along with benefits such as medical, dental, and a generous PTO policy.

Qualifications

• Experience with overhead cranes, forklifts, and material handling is preferred.
• Ability to read manufacturing documentation is essential.
• Proficiency in reading a tape measure is necessary.

Responsibilities

• Assemble both exterior and interior parts of the Mount Assembly.
• Transport product to the proper stocking location.
• Package completed components for shipment.
• Operate power tools and basic hand tools as required.

Job description

• Assemble both exterior and interior parts of the Mount Assembly’s
• Transport product to the proper stocking location
• Package completed components to prepare for shipment
• Must be able to work in a small group setting and independently to complete required workload
• Operate power tools and basic hand tools
• Other job duties as assigned

Physical Demands and Working Conditions

• Constant standing on concrete floor
• Continuous lifting and carrying of parts under 10 pounds
• Continuous fine finger movement with assembly and placing small parts together
• Frequent carrying of parts 11-20 pounds
• Frequent lifting of parts 11-50 pounds
• Frequent walking
• Frequent pushing of carts
• Frequent bending with occasional crouching while gathering parts or tools
• Occasional carrying of product 20 – 50 pounds
• Occasional lifting of 50 – 75 pounds, team lift is encouraged.
• Occasional forklift operation
• Hot and humid environment in the summer
• Fast-paced environment with deadline pressures
• PPE: Safety shoes, safety glasses, and gloves

Minimum Qualifications and Prerequisites

• Overhead crane, forklift and material handling experience preferred
• Ability to read manufacturing documentation
• Ability to efficiently read a tape measure
