Job summary

Fisher & Ludlow Div Of Harris Steel Ltd. in Crawfordsville, IN is seeking a Scale Administrator to operate rail and truck scales, verify data from inbound and outbound materials, and input it into the systems.

You will perform daily tests on radiation detectors, prepare environmental and DOT paperwork for non-compliance loads, and maintain office paperwork. Safety is emphasized; you must follow policies and work outdoors in all weather.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of logistics experience.
• Willing to work swing shift and overtime in an industrial outdoor environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication, organizational and time management skills.

Responsibilities

Basic Job Functions:

The role of the Scale Administrator consists of, but is not limited to, the operation of rail and truck scales to verify, gather and input data from inbound and outbound materials, perform daily tests on radiation detectors, generate environmental and DOT paperwork for non-compliance loads, organize and maintain paperwork for finance and shipping office, general housekeeping and a variety of other tasks related to the successful operation of Material Handling.

Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Ability to work in a fast-paced, non-stop environment while providing excellent customer service.
• Must be able to work well under pressure and meet critical deadlines.
• Must be able to handle multiple priorities while providing a high level of support.
• Must have excellent written and verbal communication, organizational, and time management skills.
• Computer experience, including Microsoft Excel and Word with the ability to learn in house systems.
• Must be able to work swing shift and work overtime in an industrial environment which includes being outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Minimum of 1 year of logistics experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years customer service experience.
• Previous scrap knowledge.
