Job summary

TIC - The Industrial Company in Houston is seeking an experienced Scaffold/Industrial Rigging worker to support construction projects. You will perform erection and dismantling of scaffolding, operate heavy equipment, and rig loads on site.

Reading blueprints, selecting and using the right tools, and constructing ladders, walkways, platforms, and gangways are essential parts of the role. You must climb to heights, work outdoors in all weather, and be prepared for overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to read and follow instructions.
• Strong manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
• Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and layout tools safely.

Responsibilities

• Read blueprints and specifications to determine the scope of work: locations, quantities, and sizes of materials required.
• Identify all tools required for tasks and measure, mark, and cut required wooden/metallic materials to required specifications.
• Erect and disassemble scaffolding for buildings and other structures and installs ladders, handrails, walkways, platforms, and gangways.
• Construct, re-enforce, and dismantle pre-constructed Scaffolds.
• Build and construct wooden Scaffolds and auxiliary items.
• Perform work involving rigging of equipment loads.
