Job summary

Sunbelt Rentals is seeking a Scaffold E&D Carpenter in the Dallas, TX area. You will assist in stacking, counting, and preparing scaffolding materials for job sites and shipments, while supporting the Lead Carpenter and Foreman.

We value team players who can work at heights safely and mentor junior helpers, with on-the-job training and competitive benefits. A trade school background is preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of various scaffolding materials and safe assembly/dismantling.
• Ability to work safely at heights and follow safety protocols.
• Mentor and coach E/D Helpers 1 and 2 to aid their development.

Responsibilities

• Assist in stacking and counting scaffolding materials received on site or prepared for shipment.
• Prepare material to be shipped and assist Lead Carpenter/Foreman.
• Serve as a mentor to E/D Helpers 1 and 2 to aid in their development.
• Erect and dismantle scaffolding under supervision and ensure safety at height work.

Job Description Summary Scaffold E&D Carpenter

Sunbelt Rentals–the fastest growing rental business in North America–is seeking a Scaffold E&D Carpenter.

Assist in the stacking and counting of scaffolding materials being received on the job site or being shipped from the job site, along with preparing material to be shipped Assist the Lead Carpenter and/or Foreman by acting as a mentor and coach to the E/D Helpers 1 and 2 to aid in their development.

Education or experience that prepares you for success: Some trade school preferred but not required Scaffold E&D Helper 2 for a minimum of 1 year or approved equivalent experience Ability to work comfortably and safely at considerable heights Bilingual a plus.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities you may rely on:

• Knowledge and use of various types of scaffolding materials
• Must be able to erect and dismantle scaffolding under the supervision of the Foreman and/or Lead Carpenter
• Must have a general knowledge of the different types and sizes of scaffolding materials being used
• Must have the proper tools

The physical demands of this role require bending, squatting, crouching, reaching, lifting 40 pounds or more, and working indoors/outdoors when required by the job.

Base Pay Range: $17.75 - 21.15 Starting rate of pay may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, position offered, location, education, training, and/or experience.
