Job summary

Sunbelt Rentals is hiring a Scaffold E&D Carpenter in Alabama. You will assist in loading, stacking and counting scaffolding materials received or shipped from the job site, and support the Lead Carpenter and Foreman.

You'll mentor junior helpers and contribute to a safe, productive work environment. The role requires comfort at heights and a proactive approach to teamwork in a fast-paced construction setting.

Qualifications

• Some trade school preferred but not required.
• Minimum 1 year of Scaffold E/D Helper 2 experience or equivalent.
• Ability to work safely at heights.
• Bilingual is a plus.
• Knowledge of scaffolding materials types and sizes.
• Must have proper tools.

• Prepare material to be shipped and assist Foreman.
• Mentor and coach E/D Helpers 1 and 2 to aid development.

Sunbelt Rentals–the fastest growing rental business in North America–is seeking a Scaffold E&D Carpenter. Assist in the stacking and counting of scaffolding materials being received on the job site or being shipped from the job site, along with preparing material to be shipped. Assist the Lead Carpenter and/or Foreman by acting as a mentor and coach to the E/D Helpers 1 and 2 to aid in their development.

Education or Experience

Some trade school preferred but not required. Scaffold E/D Helper 2 for a minimum of 1 year or approved equivalent experience.

Requirements

• Ability to work comfortably and safely at considerable heights
• Bilingual a plus
• Knowledge and use of various types of scaffolding materials
• Must be able to erect and dismantle scaffolding under the supervision of the Foreman and/or Lead Carpenter
• Must have a general knowledge of the different types and sizes of scaffolding materials being used
• Must have the proper tools

The physical demands of this role require bending, squatting, crouching, reaching, lifting 40 pounds or more, and working indoors/outdoors when required by the job. Base Pay Range

$17.75 - 21.57 Starting rate of pay may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, position offered, location, education, training, and/or experience.
