Brown & Root Industrial Services is hiring for a carpenter/scaffolder role in Louisiana. You will build, position, and dismantle wooden structures such as forms and scaffolds according to sketches or standards.

Responsibilities include reading blueprints, selecting materials, measuring and cutting, erecting scaffolding, and ensuring safety on site. Strong attention to accuracy and adherence to guidelines is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with related field experience.
• Knowledge of standard concepts, practices, and procedures.
• Follows instructions and pre-established guidelines under supervision.

Responsibilities

• Builds, positions, and dismantles wooden structures per sketches, blueprints, or standards.
• Selects and gathers materials and tools for tasks.
• Reads blueprints to determine dimensions of structures.
• Inspects base surface for obstructions and prepares work area.
• Measures boards and marks cutting lines with pencil or scriber.
• Saws boards and plywood to required sizes.
• Uses carpentry hand tools (hammers, levels, squares, screwdrivers).
• Assembles scaffolding with handrails, braces, and planks per specs.
• Sets anchor bolts and braces forms for concrete piers and walls.
• Erects scaffolding and installs ladders, walkways, and safety features.
• Performs routine maintenance and adheres to safety rules.
