Scaffold Builder Supervisor (Pasadena, Tx) Austin Industrial

Scaffold Builder Supervisor

This person will construct, assemble, maintain,and dismantle tubular scaffolding or other temporary structures.This is accomplished by performing the following essential duties and responsibilities.A minimum of 4 years of experience is required within the Scaffolding craft. Other duties may be assigned.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Must have 7 years of experience as a Scaffold Builder Management
  • Determines type of scaffold needed.
  • Inspects job site and all scaffold material for defects and safety hazards.
  • Effectively communicates safety hazards and mitigates avoidable hazards prior to construction of scaffolding.
  • Transports tubular scaffold or other structural material and erects the scaffold to the dimensions required.
  • Hoists scaffolding materials upward in order to erect temporary structure.
  • Properly secures and levels locking sections of scaffolding Material.
  • Properly secures scaffold to the permanent structure for added stability.
  • Adheres to all OSHA, site specific and Austin Industrial requirements for the erecting and navigation of the scaffolding.
  • Performs final inspection of completed scaffolding.
  • Dismantles scaffolding when it has been effectively communicated to do so.
  • Inspects and properly stows scaffolding material after dismantling.
  • Must be proficient in managing a crew, time, and costs.
  • Must possess all Knowledge Skills and Abilities for positions.
  • Must be able to meet all physical requirements.
  • Must have all the required tools.
  • Must have reliable transportation.
  • Read blueprints and specifications to determine the scope of work.
  • Locations, quantities, and sizes of materials required.
  • Identify all tools required for tasks.
  • Identify safety risks and the precautions required to eliminate those risks.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications Required for this Position:

Certification/License: NCCER and Valid Driver’s License.

Experience Responsibilities - Direct supervise 5 to 10 scaffold builders in the Operations Department. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with Austin Industrial’s policies & procedures and applicable laws.
