Job Summary

Austin Industrial is an employee-owned company that has provided construction, maintenance, plant services, turnaround, and specialty services to the oil, gas, chemical, energy, and manufacturing industries for over 100 years.

We are seeking a qualified Scaffold Builder to construct, assemble, maintain, and dismantle tubular scaffolding or other temporary structures. Candidates must have at least 3 years of experience in the scaffolding craft. Additional duties may be assigned as needed.

Responsibilities

• Work safely at heights without fear.
• Determine the appropriate type of scaffold needed for each job.
• Inspect the job site and all scaffold materials for defects and safety hazards.
• Communicate safety hazards effectively and mitigate avoidable hazards before scaffolding construction.
• Transport and erect scaffold materials to the required dimensions.
• Hoist scaffolding materials upward during erection.
• Secure and level locking sections of scaffolding properly.
• Secure scaffold to permanent structures for stability.
• Follow OSHA, site-specific, and company safety requirements during erection and navigation.
• Perform final inspection of the completed scaffolding.
• Dismantle scaffolding upon proper communication.
• Inspect and store scaffolding materials after dismantling.
