Job summary

Austin Industrial in Pasadena, TX is seeking a Scaffold Builder Helper to assist Scaffold Builders with erection, maintenance, and dismantling of tubular scaffolding and temporary structures. You will transport materials, hoist components, and ensure safe assembly as directed by journeymen.

Requirements include 6+ months of industrial experience and a valid TWIC Card with a driver’s license. On-site, full-time position with safety procedures and PPE compliance emphasized.

Qualifications

• 6+ months experience in an industrial setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work at heights with no fear.
• Transports tubular scaffold or other structural material and erects the scaffold as instructed by the scaffold builder.
• Hoists scaffolding materials upward in order to erect temporary structure.
• Properly secures and levels locking sections of scaffolding material.
• Properly secures scaffold to the permanent structure for added stability.
• Adheres to all OSHA, site specific and Austin Industrial requirements for the erecting and navigation of the scaffolding.
• Pass materials and tools to Journeyman as needed.
• Dismantles scaffolding when it has been properly communicated to do so.
• Build quality barricades around excavation or equipment as needed.
• Confined space attendant.
• Fire watch.
• Equipment watches attendant.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications Required for this Position:

Experience – 6+ months experience in an Industrial setting preferred.

Certification/License- A Valid TWIC Card and Driver’s License.
