Job summary

Austin Industrial is seeking a general scaffold assistant to support scaffold builders in construction, assembly, maintenance and dismantling of tubular scaffolding across our industrial projects in Orange, TX. You will work at heights and help transport, erect and secure scaffold components under supervision.

Responsibilities

• Work at heights with no fear.
• Transports tubular scaffold or other structural material and erects the scaffold as instructed by the scaffold builder.
• Hoists scaffolding materials upward in order to erect temporary structure.
• Properly secures and levels locking sections of scaffolding material.
• Properly secures scaffold to the permanent structure for added stability.
• Adheres to all OSHA, site specific and Austin Industrial requirements for the erecting and navigation of the scaffolding.
• Pass materials and tools to Journeyman as needed.
• Dismantles scaffolding when it has been properly communicated to do so.
• Other duties as assigned.

This person will assist Scaffold Builders in the construction, assembly, maintenance, and dismantling of tubular scaffolding or other temporary structures. Other duties may be assigned.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities:
