TIC - The Industrial Company in Port Arthur, TX is seeking an intermediate-level construction worker to erect and dismantle scaffolding, operate heavy equipment, and rig loads on various projects. You will read blueprints, select tools, cut materials, install ladders and walkways, and ensure safety compliance on-site with potential overtime.

Applicant must be able to work outdoors in varying weather, pass pre-access drug testing, and communicate effectively with supervision.

Formación

High school diploma or equivalent.
Must have working knowledge or ability related to the position.
Ability to understand, follow and transmit written and oral instructions and communicate with supervision.
Ability to use hand tools, power tools and layout tools safely and efficiently.

Responsabilidades

Read blueprints and specifications to determine scope, locations, quantities and material sizes.
Identify all tools required for tasks and measure, mark, and cut materials to spec.
Erect and disassemble scaffolding for buildings and structures; install ladders, handrails, walkways, platforms, and gangways.
Construct, reinforce, and dismantle pre-constructed scaffolds.
Build wooden scaffolds and auxiliary items.
Perform rigging of equipment loads.
