Job summary

City of Lynchburg seeks a Plant Instrumentation Technician to install, calibrate, repair and maintain electronic instrumentation at the Water Resource Recovery Facility and related equipment.

You will handle SCADA networks, CCTV, Access Control, and associated laboratory equipment, ensuring reliability and safety. Experience with control systems and PLCs is important for success in this role.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Computer Technology or related field, with electronics or computer applications coursework.
• Considerable experience installing and maintaining instrumentation and electrical equipment.
• Strong background in control system networking and PLC programming/maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Install, repair, calibrate and maintain instrumentation and SCADA components.
• Maintain gas/fluids measurement devices and related sensors (pH, CL2 analyzers).
• Assist with motor/electrical equipment repairs and CCTV/Access Control upkeep.
