Job summary

Black & Veatch is seeking a Staff SCADA Engineer focused on Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) to support design, integration, and commissioning of utility-scale energy storage projects. This role covers end-to-end SCADA engineering, including EMS, BMS, PCS, and utility communications integration across the full project lifecycle.

The candidate will participate in architecture, network design, telemetry, data mapping, and system integration, coordinating with interconnection and grid

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field.
• 5+ years SCADA engineering experience.
• 3+ years experience with utility-scale BESS projects.
• Experience with SCADA design and commissioning activities.

Responsibilities

• Develop SCADA design documents for BESS projects.
• Coordinate SCADA architecture with BMS/EMS/PCS.
• Lead design reviews and support FAT/SAT and commissioning.
• Provide field and remote support to construction teams and clients.
