Job summary

AMERICAN SYSTEMS is hiring a SCADA Windows System Administrator II to manage Windows 10/11 and Windows Server environments within a SCADA/EMS power operations system. The role emphasizes reliability, security, and performance of Windows-based infrastructure.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years of systems administration experience, strong troubleshooting, AD, and server management skills, plus the ability to work independently and document processes for cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• U.S. Citizen required; able to pass federal background check and obtain Public Trust.
• 3–5 years of experience in Systems Administration or similar role.
• Expertise in Windows 10/11, Windows Server 2016/2019/2022, and Active Directory administration.
• Familiarity with VMware ESXi, Dell-EMC VxRail, Data Domain, and HPE ProLiant servers.
• Strong troubleshooting and documentation skills; attention to detail.
• Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs and move equipment as needed.

Responsibilities

• Administer Windows 10/11 and Windows Server environments within a SCADA/EMS system.
• Plan, install, test, operate, and maintain Windows-based hardware and software.
• Manage Active Directory, Group Policy, user accounts, and resource sharing.
• Maintain hardware such as Dell-EMC VxRail and HPE ProLiant servers for reliability.
• Provide end-user support and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Create and maintain system documentation and procedures.
