Job summary

Competitive Power Ventures is seeking an onsite SCADA Systems Engineer located in Silver Spring, MD. This skilled role involves maintaining and optimizing Operational Technology systems and supporting IT infrastructure.

The engineer will administer the OSII Monarch SCADA platform, ensuring reliable data environments and performing 24/7 on-call duties. Candidates should have extensive IT systems engineering experience, and familiarity with SCADA architecture is a plus.

Compensation includes a base salary of $110,000–$130,000, bonus, and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Experience with Microsoft Windows Server administration.
• Experience with Azure Hybrid Cloud deployment.
• Familiarity with NERC CIP cyber security standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily administration of the OSII Monarch SCADA architecture.
• Manage SCADA communication protocols and data exchanges.
• Develop telemetry logic using C/C++ scripts.
• Manage physical and virtual server lifecycles.
• Act as administrator for Active Directory.

Network topology understanding

Ability to diagnose root-cause errors

Education

7+ years of IT systems engineering experience

Experience in SCADA or DCS environments
