Job summary

Fluidstack seeks a skilled engineer to design and deploy SCADA and telemetry for flagship data center sites. You will integrate field devices, develop robust HMI/alarm systems, and standardize designs across multiple facilities.

You will collaborate with controls, commissioning, and operations teams to validate data quality and ensure reliable live operation, with an emphasis on repeatable deployment and strong documentation.

Qualifications

• Designed and commissioned SCADA or industrial control systems for critical facilities.
• Integrated field devices and protocols (Modbus, BACnet, DNP3, OPC UA) into telemetry.
• Built HMI and alarm systems trusted by operators under fault conditions.
• Standardized a controls/telemetry design for repeatable deployment across sites.
• Caught instrumentation/data-quality problems during commissioning before going live.
• Wrote precise configuration and point documentation for maintainability.

Responsibilities

• Design and deploy the SCADA architecture that monitors power, cooling, and mechanical systems at gigawatt-scale data center sites.
• Integrate telemetry from switchgear, generators, chillers, and building management into a unified data platform.
• Build tag databases, HMI screens, and alarm logic for lean operations teams during live site runs.
• Standardize the SCADA/telemetry stack into a repeatable reference design for new site deployments.
• Validate all points/signals with controls, commissioning, and operations teams before site go live.
