Job summary

Giga Energy is hiring a SCADA and BMS Engineer to own the Ignition environment, screens, historian, and alarm/dashboard layer across our data-center portfolio. You will design, deploy, and maintain the platform, ensuring reliable operation and scalable templates for rapid site-to-site deployment.

You will work with network, security, and controls teams, travel to active sites, and help extend monitoring capabilities while supporting after-hours incident response as part of an on-call rotation.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience building and maintaining SCADA/HMI applications in Ignition or FactoryTalk, including tag structures, alarm configuration, historian, and operator screens.
• 5+ years designing, programming, and maintaining SCADA or BMS systems in data centers, industrial facilities, utilities, or equivalent environments.
• Experience owning a SCADA system in production: alarms, historian, backups, and troubleshooting live issues.

Responsibilities

• Own the design and architecture of our SCADA and BMS platform across the portfolio: Ignition environment, server topology, tag structures, naming standards, and redundancy.
• Build and maintain operator screens, historian, trending, alarms, dashboards, and reporting for operations.
• Create reusable templates on the first site to speed deployment at new sites.
• Integrate data from mechanical and electrical systems into SCADA (Modbus TCP).
• Collaborate with network and security teams on OT/IT segmentation and remote access.
• Maintain systems in production: updates, backups, runbooks, and root-cause analysis.
