Position Overview

Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking an Electronic Maintenance Tech 2 to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals in Warner Robins, GA. The Electronics Maintenance Tech 2 is responsible for the repair, modification, and maintenance of a variety of electronic equipment and Electronic Warfare systems. You will be working on highly complex systems and equipment that are mission critical for the platforms that they operate on.

Responsibilities
  • Fabricates, assembles, and disassembles electronic subassemblies.
  • Wires circuits, replaces components, and repairs electronic assemblies.
  • Performs routine electronic preventative maintenance on special test equipment (STE) and test stations.
  • Performs test readings using instruments such as Spectrum Analyzer, Network Analyzer, Curve Tracers, Oscilloscopes, Signal Generators, and Digital Multimeters.
  • Uses a strong electronics foundation to troubleshoot to component level to determine cause and remedy for malfunctions.
  • Conducts routine engineering tests and detailed experimental testing.
  • Performs calibration checks on electronic instruments.
  • Follows practical electronic theory and uses basic tools.
  • Adheres to Quality Assurance Inspection Procedures.
  • Conducts training and completes all assigned work center specific OJT.
  • Tests and tunes microwave assemblies, working under a microscope, adjusting gain, band pass, noise figure by soldering small tuning tabs to the board using signal generators, network analyzers, and spectrum analyzers. Training will be provided.
  • Follows test procedures, work instructions, and other process documents.
Basic Qualifications
  • High School Diploma/GED and 7+ years of relevant electronics experience, or
  • Associates Degree in Electronics-related field or Military Occupational Specialty (MOS) in Electronics, with 5+ years of relevant experience.
  • Experience with Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Ability to work various shifts as needed.
  • Ability to work on-site in Warner Robins, Georgia.
  • Familiarity with Oscilloscopes, Digital Multimeters, or similar test equipment.
  • Self-starter with minimal supervision.
  • Teamwork skills.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret DoD clearance.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Higher education in Electronics or MOS in Electronics with 5+ years of experience.
  • Experience with Automatic Test Equipment (ATE).
  • Testing and troubleshooting RF assemblies and sub-assemblies.
  • Testing and tuning microwave assemblies.
  • Experience with Electronic Warfare systems.
  • Soldering experience or familiarity.
Additional Information

Salary Range: $29.51 - $29.51. Compensation factors include responsibilities, experience, education, skills, and market conditions. Benefits include health insurance, life and disability insurance, savings plan, holidays, and paid time off. The application period is approximately 20 days from posting, subject to change.
