Job summary

SAIC is seeking an SCA Drafter/CAD Operator II to support the US Navy at NSWC Crane, IN. The role focuses on drafting and documentation using SolidWorks 3D parametric CAD, updating Technical Data Packages and collaborating with engineers and technicians.

You will work both independently and as part of a team to capture design intent, perform measurements with calipers and gauges, and ensure compliance with manufacturing standards. On-site, day shift with 10% travel.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED with a minimum of three (3) years of related experience.
• Experience using 3D CAD software with hands-on mechanical/electro-mechanical knowledge.
• Interim clearance to start with ability to obtain a Secret clearance.
• AS or BS Degree in a related field.
• Knowledge of ASME-Y14.100, MIL-STD-31000 and related drawing standards.

Responsibilities

• Creates and modifies detailed models and drawings using SolidWorks and other 3D parametric CAD Software(s)
• Works closely with the Customer, Engineers, Technicians and other CAD Operators to capture design
• Works independently as well as in a collective team effort to effect changes to design and/or documentation
• Performs a variety of moderate and complex tasks and have the ability to use a variety of tools to include, but not limited to, Calipers, Gauges, Tape Measure, Ruler and other mechanical devices to aid in design development and verification/validation of first article pieces

SAIC is seeking an SCA Drafter/CAD Operator II to support the US Navy in Crane, IN.
Job Description
This position will provide drafting and documentation support for NSWC Crane. In this role you will support a team creating/updating Technical Data Packages using SolidWorks 3D parametric Software.
Job Duties

• Creates and modifies detailed models and drawings using SolidWorks and other 3D parametric CAD Software(s)

Qualifications
Required Education and Experience

• High School Diploma/GED with a minimum of three (3) years of related experience.
• Experience using 3D CAD software Hands-on mechanical/electro-mechanical knowledge and aptitude with understanding of currently accepted manufacturing processes and ISO procedures
• Must be detail oriented and able to communicate complex ideas
• Ability to quickly complete tasking independently and as a team member, with detailed or general instruction
• Interim clearance required to start with the ability to obtain a secret clearance. SAIC will sponsor the clearance process
