Job summary

Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Sector is seeking an SCA Aircraft Mechanic 2 or 3 to join our Flight Operations team at Ellsworth AFB, SD. Position requires ability to obtain and maintain a final U.S. government Secret clearance and PRP enrollment, plus readiness to travel up to 25%.

Responsibilities include troubleshooting, repairs, and service of aircraft systems in compliance with FAA regulations and engineering instructions, with on-the-job training provided to customer personnel as needed.

Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Sector is seeking an SCA Aircraft Mechanic 2 or SCA Aircraft Mechanic 3 to join our team of qualified individuals within our Flight Operations organization. This position will be located at Ellsworth AFB, SD.

Please note that this opportunity is contingent on program funding. Start dates are determined after funding confirmation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Troubleshoots, repairs and services aircraft and engine systems.

Basic Qualifications for SCA Aircraft Mechanic 2:

• High School Diploma/GED with minimum 4 years of experience in civilian or military aviation maintenance
• Must be able to travel up to 25% of the time
• Must be willing to travel for training to various locations for initial training which will take 24 weeks minimum prior to relocating to the permanent location
• Must be able and willing to work on an aircraft flightline year-round, across all three shifts and weekend duty.
• Ability to obtain Personnel Reliability Program (PRP) certification and enrollment within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the Company, and maintenance of same.
• Ability to obtain Personnel Reliability Program (PRP) certification and enrollment within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the Company, and maintenance of same.
• Your ability to obtain and maintain the final adjudicated U.S. government Secret clearance and any program access(es) required for the position prior to starting.

• High School Diploma/GED with minimum 6 years of experience in civilian or military aviation maintenance
• Must be able to travel up to 25% of the time
• Must be willing to travel for training to various locations for initial training which will take 24 weeks minimum prior to relocating to the permanent location
• Must be able and willing to work on an aircraft flightline year-round, across all three shifts and weekend duty.
• Ability to obtain Personnel Reliability Program (PRP) certification and enrollment within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the Company, and maintenance of same.
• Your ability to obtain and maintain the final adjudicated U.S. government Secret clearance and any program access(es) required for the position prior to starting.

• Flightline Jet Engine Mechanic

• Low Observables Maintenance

Primary Level Salary Range: $45.93 - $45.93

Secondary Level Salary Range: $47.73 - $47.73

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
