Job summary

Catering is seeking a Labourer with Security Clearance (SC) to join our site team in Chester on a contract for a newbuild project on a Nuclear site. The role includes manual tasks, assisting ground workers and adhering to strict security and safety protocols.

Weekend availability and long on-site hours (45–60 per week) are expected as the project progresses. You will unload materials, support trades, keep the site clean, follow PPE rules, and report safety concerns.

Qualifications

• SC security clearance essential
• CSCS graded card essential
• Experience in manual labour roles within secure or sensitive environments preferred
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks consistently and safely
• Strong understanding of health and safety regulations applicable to site work
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to follow instructions accurately
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
• Basic knowledge of site safety procedures and use of PPE

Responsibilities

• Assist with site preparation, including unloading materials and setting up equipment in accordance with safety standards
• Support skilled trades by providing manual assistance during construction or maintenance activities
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring tools and materials are stored securely
• Follow all health and safety procedures diligently to uphold a safe working environment
• Perform routine tasks such as digging, lifting, carrying, and moving materials as directed
• Support security protocols by adhering to access controls and safeguarding sensitive areas
• Report any safety concerns or irregularities immediately to supervisors
• Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of assigned tasks
