Job summary

U.S. Bank in Atlanta seeks a motivated lender to generate SBA loan financing for business customers.

The role focuses on owner/user real estate purchases, with more than 80% of time spent on outside sales activities and developing new relationships. You will analyze credit, assemble SBA loan packages, present the commitment letter, and coordinate closing while partnering with Business Banking and community partners to meet sales goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience
• Five to eight years of commercial credit, relationship banking or other job-related experience
• Strong relationship management and business development/b2b sales skills
• Well-developed analytical and problem-solving skills
• Advanced knowledge of credit administration, analysis and policy/procedure
• Advanced knowledge of SBA lending products and services
• Demonstrated understanding of complex financial accounting and analysis
• Ability to work effectively with individuals and groups in managing customer relationships
• Excellent presentation, verbal and written communication skills

Responsibilities

• Develops SBA loan financing contacts and leads for business customers
• Generates SBA lending opportunities through cold calling and existing contacts
• Gathers, analyzes and discusses credit information for SBA financing decisions
• Develops SBA loan packages and submits to SBA processing center
• Manages all facets of the loan including closing and commitment letters
• Deepens customer relationships by offering additional Bank products and services
• Collaborates with Business Banking, Community and Commercial partners to meet sales goals and exchange referrals
