Job summary

Concorde Education partners with schools and community organizations to provide enrichment programs in instrumental music. We are seeking experienced Saxophone Instructors to deliver instructional services for elementary through high school programs, on an independent contractor basis.

Assignments are on-site at partner locations with rolling start dates. Compensation starts at $50+ per instructional hour, typically $50–$65 depending on qualifications, location, scheduling needs, and

Qualifications

• Saxophone instructors with proven teaching ability.
• Experience teaching K-12 students preferred.
• Strong understanding of fundamentals of music and theory.

Responsibilities

• Saxophone instruction for alto, tenor, soprano and/or baritone sax.
• Develop embouchure, breathing, posture and tone production.
• Fingering and fundamental playing techniques.
• Music reading, rhythm, scales and basic theory.
• Individual and small-group instruction.
• Ensemble playing and musicianship.
• Improvisation and introductory jazz concepts.
• Age-appropriate repertoire across styles.
• Performance preparation and stage presence.
• Instrument care and proper practice techniques.
