The candidate should hold a Master of Music in Saxophone Performance, Woodwind Pedagogy, Commercial, or Jazz Studies, and demonstrate teamwork and collaboration. Preference given to those with broader repertoire in classical, jazz, and contemporary styles.

Qualifications

• Master of Music in Saxophone Performance, Woodwind Pedagogy, Commercial, or Jazz Studies.
• Ability to work in a team leadership setting and collaborate with colleagues.
• Ability to teach Musicianship and Aural Skills courses; adaptable to multiple styles.
• Capacity to perform in classical, popular and jazz/blues styles.

Responsibilities

• Teach applied saxophone, ensemble coaching, woodwind techniques, and woodwind pedagogy.
• Provide direction and supervision for student performance groups (jazz combo, commercial ensembles).
• Perform in Faculty and University ensembles as directed.
