Job Title: Saws Operator

Department: Production – Saws

Employment Type: Regular Full-Time Position

Job Summary:

The Saw Operator is responsible for following production orders related to cutting honeycomb blocks into sheets, operating forklifts safely, and completing paperwork and scanning operations accurately.

Essential Functions:

• Select correct blocks for cutting
• Input accurate data into saw computers and scanners
• Understand and apply math and standard measurements
• Operate horizontal band saws
• Operate forklifts
• Ensure compliance with all quality requirements
• Complete and control documentation
• Maintain a clean work area, including emptying dust hogs and scrap bins
• Visually inspect parts for quality

Required Education and Experience:

• Ability to lift over 50 lbs
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Good understanding of math
• Strong attention to accuracy and precision
• Knowledge of industry safety standards
• Previous forklift certification and experience are a plus
• Willingness to undergo pre-employment screenings

Schedule:

• Monday – Friday shift; availability for any required shift:
• 2nd Shift: 2 PM to 10 PM
• 3rd Shift: 10 PM to 6 AM (Sunday-Thursday)

Salary:

• Hourly, non-exempt
• Starting at $18.00/hr, commensurate with experience
