Job summary

Hood Industries, Inc. seeks a Strapping Operator at our Waynesboro, MS sawmill to operate the strapping machine and print tickets. You will read measurements for proper band placement and ensure packs are sealed correctly.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• 1–2 years of manufacturing experience.
• Ability to understand and follow safety rules.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Willing to work nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime.

Responsibilities

• Operate strapping machine from a touch screen.
• Print lumber tickets and attach them to the lumber pack.
• Read measurements for proper band placement.
• Replace strapping rolls on the machine.
• Perform weekly/daily maintenance and preventive maintenance.
• Maintain cleanliness and housekeeping around machines.
