You will perform preventive and corrective maintenance on sawmill machinery, diagnose mechanical and hydraulic systems, and work with electrical staff to minimize downtime while upholding safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Prior maintenance experience in a sawmill, lumber, or heavy industrial environment preferred.
• Must be able to read and interpret mechanical and electrical schematics.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical and electrical schematics.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on sawmill machinery and equipment.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on heavy equipment supporting sawmill.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
• Inspect equipment regularly to identify wear, damage, or potential failures.
• Weld, fabricate, and machine replacement parts as needed.
• Troubleshoot electrical systems and work alongside electrical maintenance staff.
• Maintain accurate maintenance logs and work order documentation.
• Ensure all work is performed in compliance with safety regulations and company standards.
