Job summary

Northern Hardwoods is hiring full-time General Laborers to join their state-of-the-art hardwood sawmill in Atlantic Mine, Michigan. You will stack and handle lumber while learning the operation and building your skills.

Prior experience isn’t required—we’ll train dependable, motivated individuals. The role offers FIRST or SECOND shift, weekly pay, a $1,000 sign-on bonus, a monthly production bonus, and benefits including medical/dental/vision, a 401(k) with 4% match, paid time off, and safety

Qualifications

• Must be 18+ and have reliable transportation.
• Willing to be trained and assist other production areas.
• Able to stand long periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Check lumber thickness, stack, sort, and assemble lumber packs.
• Operate forklift and saws, or be willing to be trained.

Responsibilities

• Stack and handle quality lumber in the sawmill.
• Learn operation and build your skills.
• Assist with duties across production areas as needed.
• Maintain a safe work environment and PPE compliance.
