Job summary

Express Employment Professionals is hiring Sawmill Base Operators for a local sawmill client in Kalispell. The role includes Day and Swing shifts with pay of $22.55 and $23.00 per hour, respectively, plus opportunities for advancement through multiple operator levels based on experience and performance.

The Sawmill Base Operator will learn to safely operate sawmill machinery, start on the Sticker/Stacker line, and assist with production, housekeeping, and maintenance during downtime.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to safely operate machinery.
• Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity.
• Good teamwork and reliability.
• Reliable attendance and strong work ethic.

Responsibilities

• Operate sawmill machinery safely and efficiently after training.
• Start out on the Sticker/Stacker line.
• Monitor production processes and maintain quality standards.
• Perform cleanup and housekeeping duties throughout the facility.
• Assist with equipment maintenance during downtime.
• Follow all safety procedures and company policies.
• Work independently while maintaining strong communication with team members.
• Support overall lumber production operations as needed.
