Job summary

Rex Lumber, Bristol, LLC in Bristol, FL seeks a Sawmill Assistant Supervisor to oversee daily sawmill operations and drive safety, quality and productivity improvements. This hands-on leadership role balances people management with process optimization in a high-volume environment.

You will support scheduling, training, and compliance while working closely with the Sawmill Supervisor to meet production goals and control costs.

Qualifications

• Experience leading teams in a manufacturing setting, preferably lumber.
• Strong ability to read charts, schedules and production reports.
• Commitment to safety and regulatory compliance.
• Ability to train and certify forklift operators.
• Capable of planning work schedules and production sequences.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day sawmill operations and productivity.
• Lead safety, quality, and production initiatives with the supervisor.
• Develop and train workforce to maintain efficiency and quality.
