Job summary

Sierra Pacific Industries in Eugene, Oregon is seeking a qualified Sawfiler for our sawmill. You will tip and grind carbide and stellite, bench band and round saws, and help keep our cutting-edge products moving.

The role requires 2 years of verifiable saw filing experience, safety-focused work, and the ability to work various shifts with overtime during busy production times. We offer good health benefits and retirement contributions.

Qualifications

• 2 years’ verifiable saw filing experience required.
• Understanding of sawmill manufacturing operations and processes.
• Ability to work in a safe and efficient manner.
• All applicants must be 18 years of age or older.

Responsibilities

• Tip and grind both carbide and stellite
• Bench band and round saws
• Recognize and repair defects in saws
• Work with a team focused on developing cutting-edge products
• Work can be fast-paced and, at times, demanding, with occasional heavy lifting
• Work may consist of various shifts, with some overtime and weekend work during busy production times
