Job summary

Paycom - ATS is seeking an entry-level manufacturing worker in Shreveport, LA to read work orders, measure and cut material, and move items through the production line.

This role requires basic math, tape measure reading, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds; safety gear is mandatory, and forklift certification is preferred.

Candidates work under minimal supervision in a standard manufacturing environment and will receive on-the-job training and follow company safety policies.

Qualifications

Job Details: Level: Entry, Job Location: Shreveport, LA 71107, PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Read work order and determine the specifications needed for the material.
2. Calculate the required lengths by using math skills such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
3. Measure material to the correct specification as indicated on the work order.
4. Cut material using saw.
5. Move material to appropriate location.
6. Other duties as assigned.
7. Must be able to work with minimal supervision.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Provide on the job training to new employees as needed.
2. Follow all safety and health policies and procedures issued by the company.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS

WORKING CONDITIONS

Working conditions are normal for a manufacturing environment. Work involves frequent lifting of materials up to 50 pounds. Machinery and tool operation requires the use of safety equipment to include but not limited to; eye safety glasses, hearing protectors, steel toed work boots, and gloves.
