Job summary

Ryerson, a leading provider of industrial metal products, seeks a Saw Operator in Welcome, SC. You will handle day-to-day staging, packing and picking of material for shipments using proper equipment.

Responsibilities include picking and staging feedstock, breaking down bulk bundles, packaging to customer requirements, and operating a sit-down or side loader forklift. SAP work orders for shipping/receiving must be completed accurately.

Qualifications

• Skills-based assessment evaluating reading, math, inspection & measurement, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills.
• Minimum 2 years of similar job experience preferred.
• Basic math skills.
• Basic computer skills and/or comfort using a computer.
• Physical ability to pass physical requirements exam for vision, hearing, and mobility.
• Successful candidates will be enrolled in a registered apprenticeship program as part of onboarding and new hire training.

Responsibilities

• Picking and staging feedstock for fulfillment orders.
• Breaking down bulk bundles for customer-specific orders.
• Packaging of material to customer requirements.
• Operating a sit-down or side loader forklift to move material as needed.
• Completion of SAP work orders for shipping/receiving on the computer.
• Maximum productivity for finished goods creation.
• Other duties as assigned or as needed.
