Job summary

Ryerson, a leading provider of industrial metal products, invites you to join our team as a Service Center Operator C (SCOC). You will be responsible for day-to-day staging, packing, and picking material for shipments using proper equipment and SAP work orders.

Qualifications

• Skills-based assessment will test reading, math, inspection and measurement.
• At least 1 year of similar job experience preferred.
• Basic computer literacy and comfort using a computer.
• Physical ability to pass vision, hearing, and mobility exams.
• Enrollment in a registered apprenticeship during onboarding.

Responsibilities

• Pick and stage feedstock for fulfillment orders.
• Break down bulk bundles for customer orders.
• Package material to customer specifications.
• Operate sit-down or side-loader forklift.
• Complete SAP work orders for shipping/receiving.
• Maximize productivity for finished goods.
• Other duties as assigned; can change at any time.
