Job summary

Delta Steel, Inc. is seeking a warehouse/processing worker to perform materials processing operations on saw-cut material per work orders and supervisor directions. You will coordinate with supervisors, perform inspections, and manage inventory movement to ensure accurate work orders and safe operation of equipment.

The role requires basic measurement proficiency and adherence to safety protocols, with opportunities to contribute to special projects and backlog clearance as needed.

Qualifications

• Preferably 1-year processing and/or warehouse experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform materials processing operations on saw-cut material according to work orders and supervisor directions.
• Communicate/coordinate with supervisors and other employees on jobs/procedures.
• Understand and apply measurements and processing software.
• Inspect/replacements, inspect fluid levels, and safety checks for processing equipment, including emergency stop procedures.
• Load/unload and move inventory as required; log inventory location movements per procedures.
• Record inventory information on work orders as required.
• Support special projects as directed by management.
• Participate in other Warehouse or Processing/Maintenance tasks when needed.

Job Function

Perform processing operations on saw Cut material according to work orders and by supervisor directions. Communicate/coordinate with supervisors and other employees on jobs/procedures. Understanding and proficiencies of measurements and processing software. Must perform inspections/replacements, inspections of fluid levels, and all other safety measures for processing equipment, to inc. emergency stop process. Load/unload and otherwise move inventory as required. Log all inventory location movement according to specified procedures. Record inventory information on to work orders as required. Special projects as specified by management. Performance of other Warehouse or Processing / Maintenance Department tasks as required by the absence of a department member or due to the existence of a backlog of work. Promote and practice all company policies and procedures with an emphasis on safety.
