Job summary

Wieland Small Tube Products in Texas City, TX is hiring a Bar Saw Operator. The role focuses on machine operation and product quality while assisting with warehouse tasks on-site. This is the 1st shift (6am-3pm) with a starting pay of $19/hr.

Responsibilities include maintaining a safe workspace, loading/unloading material, inspecting product, and coordinating with team members. 1–2 years manufacturing experience and a HS diploma preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1–2 years of experience preferred in manufacturing.
• Strong attention to detail and safety awareness.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate in English.
• Ability to work as part of a team and meet deadlines.
• Flexibility to work first shift and occasional Saturdays.

Wieland is hiring a Bar Saw Operator. The Saw Operator will be responsible for focusing on machine operation and product quality while assisting with overall warehouse operations as needed. This role is located in Texas City, TX and will be fully on-site.

Starting Pay: $19/hr

Schedule: 1st Shift (6am-3pm)

Responsibilities

Bar Saw Operator Responsibilities

• Create and maintain a safe organized working environment.
• Operate machinery in a safe manner to ensure quality product.
• Inspect material before and after operation for imperfections.
• Load and unload product from the machinery for processing.
• Inspect inventory and product orders for accuracy.
• Report product discrepancies to management.
• Actively communicate with teammates.
• Operate forklifts to relocate material.
• Other Operations tasks as assigned.

Bar Saw Operator Qualifications

• 1-2 years of experience preferred.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Understanding of manufacturing industries preferred.
• Ability to prioritize multiple projects and deadlines.
• Strong attention to detail (critical skill).
• Ability to read, write, and communicate in English.
• Ability to communicate professionally with all departments, coworkers and management.
• Ability to work as part of a team and offer assistance to teammates when necessary.
• Ability to work occasional Saturday hours as required by the position.
• Ability to work in warehouse environment with varying temperatures .
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations.
• Ability to read dimensioned engineering drawings.
• Ability to read a tape measure and calipers.
• Lift, push, pull u p to 5 0 pounds
• Standing , walking up to 10 hours
• Twisting , bending up to 10 hours
• Perform duties under pressure of deadlines
• Must be able to wear task-appropriate PPE
• Ability to work under pressure in fast-paced environments
