Job summary

Russel Metals USA is seeking a motivated team member to join our saw cutting operation. The role focuses on safely operating band saws, forklifts, and overhead cranes while maintaining accurate inventory and a safe workspace.

You will follow SOPs, support quality and compliance, and collaborate with colleagues to ensure smooth daily production. High school diploma or equivalent required; willingness to train on new equipment is essential.

We are seeking a motivated and adaptable individual to join our team. In this role, you will be the backbone of our daily saw cutting operations, ensuring that customer needs are met safely and efficiently. We pride ourselves on fostering a collaborative environment where cross-training is encouraged. You will operate essential equipment—specifically overhead cranes, forklifts, vertical & horizontal band saws—and play a critical role in maintaining our high standards for inventory control and facility safety.

Summary of Essential Job Functions/Responsibilities

• Equipment Operation: Safely operate warehouse equipment, with a primary focus on vertical & horizontal band saws, forklifts and overhead cranes.
• Inventory Management: Execute precise inventory controls, verify stock accurately, and uphold quality standards.
• Facility Optimization: Maintain a clean, safe, and organized working environment while actively optimizing warehouse space utilization.
• Quality & Compliance: Strictly follow all service standards, standard operating procedures, and safety regulations.
• Team Collaboration: Communicate effectively with coworkers and supervisors to streamline operations and proactively report any inventory or mechanical discrepancies.
• Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
• Technical Skills: Ability to accurately read a tape measure; prior experience with machinery is a plus.
• Physical Ability: Capability to safely lift, move, and maneuver heavy objects throughout the shift.
• Soft Skills: Strong organizational abilities, excellent time management, and a highly collaborative mindset.
• Growth Mindset: A strong willingness to train on new equipment and master additional operational skills.
