Job summary

Hydro is seeking talent for a night shift position in our heavy industrial facility in the United States. The role involves operating billet saws and material handling equipment, with a base pay of $23.76 per hour plus a $1.00 per hour shift premium.

Night hours run 5:45 PM to 6:15 AM, with opportunities for overtime and a focus on safety and traceability. Applicants should have a high school diploma or GED, the ability to read and follow instructions, and familiarity with safety policies.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, understand, and follow written work instructions, safety procedures, and production documentation.
• Ability to safely work in a manufacturing environment while adhering to all safety policies and procedures.
• Basic mechanical aptitude with the ability to perform routine equipment adjustments and identify operational issues.

Responsibilities

• Operate, set up, and safely shut down billet saws and banding equipment to meet daily production schedules.
• Accurately stamp, tag, and identify billets to maintain material traceability and inventory accuracy.
• Move materials throughout the facility using forklifts, overhead cranes, and other material handling equipment.
• Monitor equipment performance, change saw blades as needed, and report maintenance issues promptly.
• Complete production documentation and operational records accurately and on time.
• Follow established safety procedures, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) requirements and safe work practices.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area and support housekeeping and continuous improvement initiatives.

Preferred Skills/Qualifications:

• Ability to perform the physical requirements of the role, including lifting up to 50 pounds, standing for extended periods, and working overtime or rotating shifts as needed.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Previous manufacturing, production, warehouse, or industrial experience.
• Experience operating forklifts, overhead cranes, or other material handling equipment.
• Experience working in a heavy industrial, metals, casting, or extrusion environment.
