Job summary

Wald Wire and Manufacturing Co. is seeking a full-time saw operator in Oshkosh, WI to set up and run metal fabrication equipment, including saws, presses, and mills. You will read blueprints, follow work instructions, inspect parts for quality, and maintain a safe work environment.

Ideal candidates possess a high school diploma or GED, with preferred post-secondary training in metal fabrication and prior manufacturing experience. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; post-secondary training preferred.
• Ability to read blueprints, drawings and specifications with basic math.
• Experience with metal fabrication equipment is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and adherence to safety procedures.
• Reliable attendance and ability to lift up to 50 lbs (100 lbs with assistance).

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate saws and metal fabrication equipment.
• Operate punch presses and other fabrication equipment as assigned.
• Follow blueprints and job specifications to inspect parts for accuracy and quality.
• Troubleshoot equipment and suggest process improvements.
• Perform routine cleaning and basic maintenance on machinery.
